Merciful God…

Merciful God, you have prepared such good things for all those that love you as to pass our understanding: pour into our hearts such love that we may exceed all that you can desire; Grant that we may bring honour to your church and to the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen

We are filled with sorrow…

We are filled with sorrow  at the darkness and misery that seems to be engulfing the world. Lord we cry out to you for help. Jesus Light of the World bring your healing and protecting light into all the situations of darkness and despair around us. Shine the light of your love and your truth into the gloom; guide us as we seek to find our way back to a place of joy and peace and hope.

We pray for all those who are grieving at this time. We trust in the hope of the resurrection into eternal life.  Heavenly Father we know that you cry with us and care for all your children. We entrust those who have died into your keeping and ask your blessing upon their families and friends.

Amen
